This Scenic Rim Regional Council Camping Reserve is privately managed by Gerard & Juanita Cahill. We want you to benefit from the beauty and tranquillity that this Reserve has to offer so a few very simple rules have been put in place:-
All vehicle owners must allow management to place car stickers to windscreen if required.
The Reserve is surrounded by private property so please have full respect for these land owners by staying within the boundaries of the Reserve.
No excessive noise at any time, limited noise after 9pm. Strictly no noise after 10pm.
Cut fire wood is available from Park management at a cost.
(Strictly no cutting down of logs, trees or branches dead or alive) No chainsaws allowed to be used in the Reserve.
Soaps, shampoo, detergent, etc. must not be used in the waterways. Chemical Toilets must not be emptied in the toilet block
Small open camp fires are permitted in the fire drums provided. (Subject to fire bans) Please, do not place rubbish, bottles or cans in these drums. Do not use rocks near the fires.
No unlicensed driving permitted.
Motorised bikes or other vehicles are not permitted for pleasure riding in the Reserve.
All vehicles must be driven at walking pace throughout the Reserve.
No camping over the picnic tables or barbecues. They must be left clear so as all Reserve users have access to them.
No camping or fires permitted over the river embankment near the swimming hole.
Diving or jumping into the river from trees, ropes or the bank is not permitted.
Swimming after dark is not recommended.
Alcohol to be consumed in moderation. (please no glass to be taken down to the River)
Push bike riders must wear safety helmets. No riding between sunset and sunrise!
Swimmers beware as the Logan River does have submerged rocks and logs.
Any person found defacing the River rocks or removing them from the river bank will be charged with vandalism.
ATTENTION DOG OWNERS
There are only two simple but very strict rules!
1:- All dogs must be restrained at all times
2:- All droppings must be disposed of in a plastic bag.
This also applies to any dog that is swimming in the river. Vicious dogs must not be brought into the Reserve. Any persons breaking these rules will be told to leave.
ATTENTION GENERATOR USERS Quiet generators are permitted provided the generator is left at your campsite when in operation. Generators cannot be put behind the tree next door or placed over the river bank as the noise carries to other campsites. If it is too loud for you it is certainly too loud for everyone else. It is recommended that generators only be used between 9 - 11am and 5.30 - 8.00 pm. Any person requiring additional hours must speak with Park Ranger.
STRICTLY NO MUSIC AFTER 8PM
Most campers visit this Reserve for the peace and quiet!
